We’re moving our letters blog from this page to a page within our website. We think this will integrate content more & make it simpler for users.

Children in most classes received their annual reports this weekend (if you didn’t, they’ll reach you on Monday night).
We’ve designed a new draft report format for next year’s reports which we think will improve on the current report format. And we’d like your views on it.
The new report reduces the length to two pages, is more colourful and includes information about target levels and amount of progress made. In addition, we’ve reorganized the subject layout to reflect the new cross-curricular approach recommended by the recent Rose Report (6 areas of learning instead of 10 subjects).
We think the new report format is more concise, gives you the information on your child’s personal progress and attainment you’ve been asking for, gives prominence to practical next-steps advice and to your opinions.
We are also planning a one-page interim report to be sent out halfway through the year. We feel that more detailed mid-year feedback is very important, as it allows you to work with us in the current year and with the current teacher to tackle any issues or underachievement.
View the draft report here. View the commentary explaining the changes here.
Give us some feedback too – Would you like it in a different form? What do you like? What don’t you like? Feedback here.
Postponed due to the very hot weather forcast.
To be re-scheduled.
